Fair Play Code for Players in Sport

  • Play for your own enjoyment, not just to please parents, teachers or coaches.
  • Control your temper - fighting and 'mouthing off' spoil the game for everybody.
  • Co-operate with your teammates and opponents, for without them you don't have a game.
  • Learn the rules and play by the rules.
  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team's performance will benefit and so will your own.
  • Winning is only part of it. Having fun, improving skills, making friends and putting in your best performance are also important.
  • Cheer all good plays, both your teams and the opponents'.
  • Remember that coaches and opponents are there to help you. Cooperate with them.
