Technical Staff Coach


Position Type: Part-Time


Compensation: Hourly rate based on coaching qualifications, experience,

and suitability for the role.


Work Hours: Minimum weekly hours may be available based on seasonal

programming requirements, with additional opportunities through camps,

evaluations, coach education, and special events. May include days, evenings,

and weekends


Reports To: Technical Director

Position Overview

 

The Technical Staff Coach is a key member of the

ADSA Technical Team, responsible for delivering high-quality player development

programming across the Grassroots, Community, and Club pathways. Working within

ADSA's technical framework and under the direction of the Technical Director,

Technical Staff Coaches create engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning

environments that support the growth and development of every player.

 

The role includes program delivery, coach

mentorship, player evaluation, and support of seasonal operations. Successful

candidates are passionate about player development, demonstrate strong

leadership and communication skills, and are committed to creating positive

experiences for players, families, volunteers, and staff.

 

Technical Staff Coaches are expected to uphold

ADSA's Vision, Mission, and Values while contributing to the organization's

strategic objectives and long-term player development goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality training sessions aligned with ADSA's technical

curriculum, player development philosophy, and organizational objectives.

·      

Create positive, engaging, inclusive, and development-focused learning

environments that support the growth and enjoyment of all participants.

·      

Provide effective instruction, demonstrations, and constructive feedback

to players and coaches.

·      

Adapt training activities and coaching approaches to meet the age,

ability, and developmental needs of participants.

·      

Support player evaluations, assessments, and team formation processes to

ensure appropriate program placement and development opportunities.

·      

Attend matches, festivals, and tournaments as required to observe

players and teams, conduct match analysis, evaluate player performance and

development, and provide feedback to players, coaches, and technical staff to

support ongoing development.

·      

Mentor, educate, and support volunteer and staff coaches through

on-field guidance, formal coach development opportunities, and ongoing

feedback.

·      

Assist with the planning, organization, and delivery of Grassroots,

Community, Club, Adult, and specialized soccer programs.

·      

Support seasonal program administration, including scheduling,

communications, equipment management, and operational preparation.

·      

Collaborate with technical staff, coaches, volunteers, and other

stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective program delivery.

·      

Assist with the delivery of specialized programming, including skills

training, goalkeeper development, coach education initiatives, camps, clinics,

and development sessions.

·      

Support the planning and execution of player assessments, camps,

tournaments, festivals, and other ADSA events.

·      

Maintain professional and timely communication with players, parents,

coaches, volunteers, and staff.

·      

Arrive prepared and uphold ADSA's technical, professional, and

behavioural standards at all times.

·      

Follow all ADSA policies, procedures, and standards related to

participant safety, conduct, and well-being.

·      

Maintain flexibility to support evolving programming and operational

needs throughout the year.

·      

Contribute to the achievement of ADSA's strategic goals while promoting

a positive culture and exceptional participant experience.

·      

Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of ADSA.

 

Required Qualifications

 


  • Previous
  • experience coaching youth soccer.

  • Valid First Aid
  • and CPR certification.

  • Successful
  • completion of a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector
  • Check.

  • Strong
  • communication, organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Reliable
  • transportation.

  • Availability to
  • work evenings and weekends as required.

  • Professional,
  • dependable, and player-centred approach.

  • Legally eligible
  • to work in Canada.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 


  • Canada Soccer
  • Coaching Certification.

  • Experience
  • delivering technical development programs, academies, or club soccer
  • environments.

  • Experience
  • working with players across various ages and development stages.

  • Knowledge of
  • Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) principles.

  • Additional Canada
  • Soccer or NCCP certifications.

  • Demonstrated
  • commitment to continuing coach education and professional development.

 

Preference will be given to candidates holding

advanced Canada Soccer certifications, including the Children's Licence, and/or

C Licence.
